Tea stop

After three days of hiking, and two days of rafting. it was time for our first big travel day. We had 8-9 hours to go from Punakha to Endocholing over a pass to the next large dzong where the east and west meet, and then down to the Mangde Chhu river

Finally getting up to some high passes and seeing our first bits of snow!!!  And like always in Bhutan - great time for tea stop!!!

And just before the high pass we got a first glimpse of the highest peak in Bhutan, Jumolhari. The mountain is on the northern border with Tibet at a peak elevation of 24,035 ft.
