Bumthang hotel in Jakar and the tricky door

Panoramic shot from the front porch of the hotel.  our trusty baby blue Toyota van with the bikes on the roof is in the parking lot. 

And the craziest thing about the rooms in the hotel were the sliding bolts to lock the door from BOTH the inside and outside of the room. super freaky, because if the bolt slipped, you were trapped in the room. happened to Robin one morning, and lucky I was was still just outside when she started banging on the door.... but definitely NOT fire safe. ha. we made a pact of not locking each other in the rooms. too freaky!
