From the Paro airport we went to lunch... and then off to the Bhutan national museum.
The original national museum was located in the watchtower above the dzong, but due to severe damage to the watchtower during a 6.9 earthquake in the last 10 years, it was moved to the building next door.
Similar to the temples, no cameras were allowed inside the museum. it was really interesting to see a lot of the cultural artifacts we had observed out and about displayed in the museum with further explanations. there was a room of the traditional ceremony masks, paintings and tapestries, traditional dress, cookware and weapons, and then extensive displays about the different landscapes, plants, and animals. it wasn't a super big collection, but all interesting stuff.
