Bumthang airport

It was awesome to stand less than 100' from the runway as the plane was landing. it made a high circle around the valley, then disappeared, and came in super low from the end of the valley closest to us. I think we were all picturing a super tiny plane, and were happy to see it was a 2-prop plane, but had 16+ rows of seats.

After the plane landed, we had to hang around until they got a phone call from Paro clearing us to board and take off and that the weather was clear!

We all rushed to board and get on the right side of the plane as that side faces the Tibet border of Bhutan with all the huge 22000-24000 foot peaks to be seen!!!
