Burning Man 2013

This year's Burning Man had to be the best ever.  No seriously.  And to top it all off, I somehow convinced Cathryn to make the trek up for it.  Icing on the cake!!!  Here are my fav pics of the year in case you don't feel like scrolling thru them all!

The Man was HUGE this year.. and sitting on a big saucer..

The Man Burns

The Man Burn was unbelievable this year.  seriously, like 20 minutes of fireworks before huge explosions started the whole thing aflame..  We all watched from the comfort of Helga..

 And afterwards, one of the firefighters was cooking some Jiffy Pop in the ashes.  classic.

Truth is Beauty - Bliss Project

This was hands down my favorite piece of art on the Playa this year.. and at night she was lit with lots of LED's that went in and out of different colors.. But always seeming to leave a cool red glow around her heart area...

Standing 55 feet tall and weighing 7,000 pounds Truth is Beauty will be constructed using:

• 55,000 single welds
• 25,000 feet of steel rod and pipe
• 6,500 steel ball connection points
• 2,000 square feet of stainless steel mesh

One thousand five hundred (1,500) individual multi-colored LED lights will be distributed throughout her body.
